ALTSTONE FUKAMI #1000 Ceramic Whetstone — Made in Japan
Sharp everyday performance without the fuss. The ALTSTONE FUKAMI #1000 is a medium-grit Japanese whetstone designed for reliable kitchen knife maintenance at home. Its vitrified ceramic bond offers clean feedback and precise cutting action—ideal for stainless and carbon steel blades.
Key Features
- #1000 Medium Grit: The daily “sweet spot” for edge repair and routine touch-ups.
- Vitrified Ceramic Bond: Stable, consistent cutting feel and flatness retention.
- Made in Japan: Trusted Japanese sharpening stone craftsmanship.
- Home-friendly Size: Compact and easy to handle, yet capable of pro-level results.
Why #1000?
#1000 is the most versatile starting point: it removes small chips, resets the bite, and leaves a toothy, kitchen-ready edge. For mirror polish, follow with #3000–#8000; for heavy damage, start with #300–#400 first.
